Custom designs of Radeon Navi are still rare. Now Sapphire teases the Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro. There are also first pictures of the ASRock Taichi version.

Radeon Navi: finally good custom selection again

With the Radeon Navi generation, AMD has placed very interesting models in the middle class. As usual for the manufacturer, there were initially only the reference versions with blower fans. The first custom versions of the board partners have been available since mid-August. Although the price premiums are still relatively high at the moment, they are already returning to a normal level.

Potential customers can even consider themselves lucky in a way. The Radeon Navi graphics cards are available in a relatively large number of custom designs. With the predecessor RX Vega the missing selection was quite a problem. Gigabyte and Asus each had only one custom design with axial fans, MSI had none at all. This has changed a lot with Navi. MSI has created four different designs, of which two are available. Asus has already presented three designs, while Gigabyte has created one custom design. Also the AMD exclusive board partners don’t hold back. XFX launches the designs THICC II and RAW II, PowerColor starts with Red Devil, Red Dragon and a simple version with two fans. Sapphire and ASRock are planning two more designs that have now emerged.

Sapphire teases Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro

The manufacturer Sapphire is AMD’s exclusive board partner and has built up many loyal customers in recent years, especially with the Nitro designs. At the launch of Radeon Navi, however, only the Pulse version was available. It was foreseeable that a Nitro or Nitro+ version would also be planned. Sapphire has now published a teaser picture in the Chinese network Weibo. Only a part of a graphics card can be seen. Probably it is a Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro. The color design is silver and black, at the height of the PCB there is an apparently RGB-illuminated stripe. Also the Sapphire lettering on the cooler is RGB illuminated. The cooler itself is longer than the PCB, suggesting a three-fan design. Sapphire uses two 8pin connectors for the power supply. It remains to be seen when the graphics card will be launched on the market.

ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT Taichi leaked

The company ASRock is still a very young AMD board partner. The manufacturer is known for its mainboards. Last year, however, the first graphics cards came onto the market. ASRock aimed especially into the beginner’s sector. With Radeon Navi the company now dares further custom designs. At the start of the customs, however, there were only the Challenger variants with two fans. Already at Computex, two concepts in the style of Phantom Gaming and, surprisingly, the Taichi series were on display.

The latter graphics card will apparently be on the market soon. Leaked pictures from Videocardz show the ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT Taichi OC+ in full glory. ASRock relies on the silver-black color scheme with gold and colored accents, which was also used in the X570 Taichi. The cooler is equipped with three axial fans. A backplate is also installed. The connections are also interesting. ASRock builds in four DisplayPort and two HDMI ports. The power supply of the graphics card is provided by two 8-pin connectors, which indicates higher clock rates. However, the release date is still unknown here as well.
