A German dealer has listed first AMD Ryzen 3000 models. The Ryzen 5 3600 costs about 219 Euros, while the Ryzen 5 3400G is listed for 167 Euros.

Ryzen 3000 will be cheap and expensive at the same time

With the new Ryzen 3000 processors, AMD does things differently. On the one hand there are technical innovations such as the 7nm structure width, the processor structure with management die and smaller chiplets or the cache. On the other hand, there is also a restructuring of the model lineup. At the upper end there are three models that did not exist in the previous generation. The Ryzen 7 3800X is the eight-core flagship. Above it there is the Ryzen 9 3900X, which comes with 12 cores. The flagship model is the Ryzen 9 3950X with 16 cores.

With these new top models, the maximum price that can be spent on a Ryzen processor has also increased significantly. The flagship Ryzen 9 3950X costs $749 and the Ryzen 9 3900X will soon be sold for $499. The Ryzen 7 3800X costs $399. However, the new versions of existing models remain at the same favourable level as their predecessors. For example, the Ryzen 7 3700X costs $329. It looks different again with the motherboards. The X570 motherboards become very expensive according to the first leaked price lists. The price development in Europe will also be exciting. In our case, taxes are added, which usually results in a direct conversion from net US prices to gross Euro prices. A German retailer has now accidentally listed the Ryzen 5 3600 and the Picasso APUs including prices.

Ryzen 5 3600 and Picasso APUs listed at German retailer

In three days, the Ryzen 3000 CPUs and the X570 motherboards will officially be on the market. Of course, the retailers are already preparing for this. Thus a listing escapes again and again into the wide open spaces of the internet. In this case, a reader drew our attention to the product pages of the German dealer Future-X. It has put online product pages of the Ryzen 5 3600, the Ryzen 5 3400G and the Ryzen 3 3200G including prices. The processors are also listed on the price comparison platform Geizhals. The prices demanded by Future-X are particularly interesting. The Ryzen costs 5 3600 218.89 Euros , the Ryzen 5 3400G is listed for 167.19 Euros. The Ryzen 3 3200G finally costs 109.29 Euros. Excluding 19 percent taxes and converted to US dollars this means $207,60 for the Ryzen 5 3600, $158,58 for the Ryzen 5 3400G and $103,66 for the Ryzen 3 3200G. To be on the safe side, we have also made screenshots in case the listings are taken offline again:

The leaked prices are slightly above the US dollar prices that AMD has quoted for the processors. This may also be a simple surcharge that Future-X raises. It is highly likely that the Ryzen 5 3600 will in Europe be available for 199 Euros including VAT. The Ryzen 5 3400G could cost 149 Euros, the Ryzen 3 3200G 99 Euros. We’ ll know for sure on July 7th.

We thank our reader Ares for the hint!
